Last February 11, Jaime Navarro, CEO of CONIEX, was invited on behalf of ABRAST to the inauguration of the 3D FACTORY INCUBATOR. Also in attendance were personalities such as the Minister of Science, Innovation and Universities, Pedro Duque, the Mayor of Barcelona, Ada Colau, and the Special Delegate of the State in the Consorci de la Zona Franca de Barcelona, Pere Navarro, among others.

3D FACTORY, a factory of the s.. XXI
The 3D FACTORY, moreover, aims to represent a new model of factory for our century by demonstrating that it can be in the center of a city and inside a modern office building. This is because a technological sector as advanced as additive manufacturing produces neither noise nor relevant emissions.
Currently, the 3D FACTORY incubator has more than 600 square meters that include laboratories with state-of-the-art technological equipment, networking and training spaces, offices, showrooms, design and production areas, as well as the most powerful 3D parts post-processing equipment on the market.
ABRAST as a benchmark in 3D parts post-processing solutions
Abrast, part of the Coniex Group, has been chosen as a supplier of post-processing solutions for 3D parts in the incubator. Thus, the 3D FACTORY has a pBlast sandblaster and an eShake vibroblaster to achieve the required roughness levels on the parts produced. These machines have been specifically designed to meet the high technical requirements demanded by such a disruptive new technology as additive manufacturing.
