Our history
CONIEX was born in January 1987 with the merger of the commercial departments of two companies to join forces and experiences in increasingly competitive markets. Both its leaders and its collaborating companies have more than 40 years of experience in these sectors.
Today, 35 years after the company was founded, we are organized into two major divisions:
Coniex Casting: own silicone elastomers factory (acquired in 1999 through the purchase and merger of a related company) and with a powerful research and quality control laboratory. We have subsidiaries in Portugal and Mexico and sell our products in more than 45 countries.
As a result of the strong investment in R&D&I, our subsidiary SiOCAST, s.l. www.siocast.com was created in 2018 to develop and exploit the new patents resulting from research projects.
CONIEX Surface: we offer a complete range of machinery, products, and services for surface treatment by vibratory finishing, shot blasting and sandblasting, degreasing, and water treatment in Spain, Portugal, and Mexico. We have our own laboratories for the design of customised solutions and installations.
Within this Division, our brand ABRAST www.abrast.com was born in 2018, highly specialized in surface finishing post-processing of 3D manufactured parts. We are founding partners of the IAM3D HUB with our own laboratories in its facilities. www.iam3dhub.com
CONIEX has always been strongly committed to R+D+i and between 2008 and 2021, we have invested more than 4.5 million euros in R&D+i. of euros in research projects subsidized by the CDTI with European FEDER funds, which have generated new patents on machinery and products that are the basis of our current sales and other future projects, in which we continue to invest.
